I removed a set from a D2, had to get them quite hot with careful use of a hot air gun, they then pealed off, but do it nice and slowly or you'll risk pulling the top layer of laquer off the paint.
The glue residue can be removed with paint degreasing 'solvent' cleaner obtainable from most motor factors.
You may also still see where they were due to the paint under teh strips not having faded, this can be rectified with the likes of T cut or any paint polishing compound over the whole door panels Never get mad - get even !!

I'll buy them off you when you've got them off! It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

An old way was to use fishing line, feed it behind cutting through the adhesive tape, wear gloves though as the line will hurt, use a strong line If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

er must be getting dyslexic in my old age, I realize now that you had a set colour coded, rather than purchased some already colour coded.
Did you get a local spray shop to do that ? I have a set sat in my garage since I would like to have them on but never liked the look of black stripes down the side.... MY08 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap + 3 screaming kids & an Empty Wallet

As mentioned, fishing line, and important to warm up the glue they are stuck on with! Hairdryer should do the trick.... and do it sloooowly! and don't burn a hole in the paint

Buy one of those small cans of lighter fluid and pour some along the top edge of the strip - leave it a while and it will soften the adhesive of the double sided tape holding the strip on. Tnen using the fishing line technique gently saw along the joint - after a few inches, you may find that it will peel. The same fluid can be used to remove residue.
