Gtreat pics lads, on an off topic but along the same lines ...... i was talking to a friend of mine '' farmer type'' you know the sort
Any way he was talking a bout his Defender 90 and was saying it can out perform the D3/D4 off road.
So I was wondering what are your views are on this point as I have limited off roading experience in the Disco but know from my Army days that the defender was good and when you put off road tyres on it was even better .

ok
I had two "defender", a 90 and a 110 TD5
I prefer the D3 for its versatility, much better on the road, very well in off road, even if the weight and dimensions prohibit him the "off road" hard!
But on many technical passages, I do better a "defender"!
I took 17-inch wheels, the choice of tires is greater ..
I drive a tire "all road" as BF GOODRIGHT or COOPER ST ...
There are many videos on "you-tube" that show the qualities of the D3 in off-road ..
an example just for fun, my D3 and 110 TD4 of a friend ,at least equivalent to that passage "easy", my friend tried it for the first time the ETC of TD4
