06 HSE no sat nav screen or audio, help!

Hello,

This morning I had no Land Rover splash screen, blank sat nav screen and no audio. The radio and clock still come on, but no sound...
Any ideas? I've checked any fuses that could be at fault and they are all fine.

Thanks!

Try a hard reset bud open the bonnet and then let the car go to sleep then just disconnect the battery leads and short the leads out by joining them with a big spanner or screw driver for about 1 min, then reconnect and see if that cures it..

Unfortunately that didn't solve it. So radio, CD changer, clock, GVIF, rear head rest screens are all OK, but no audio output or sat nav screen. All relevant fuses seem OK (I think 53 and 58 are the ones, can't remember).
Sounds like I need the help of an expert!

I had one or two issues with the GVIF unit connections when I first fitted it, try giving all the connections on the box a wiggle, not very technical but its worth a try.

it always amazes me how badly designed that fusebox is, surely the loom could have been routed somewhere more convenient??
Sadly they were all fine, so still not solved...

idealy you need some diagnostics to see if any thing is showing up

all the infotainment stuff , radio , screen , nav , amp , tv , telephone etc are on a fibre optic loop around the car . If one module fails then the loop cant continue so you loose sound and nav screen .

you could start by taking the radio out and seeing if its generating the red optic light ( the radio ...IHU is the start of the fibre optic ring )

idealy you would need a prism or bypass loop for the fibre optics ....you then undo one module at a time and connect in the bypass ...if the system starts ...thats the one with issues .if not you move onto the next

I've got exactly the same on mine. No screen and no sound. Did we ever get to the bottom of this one?
My cars still under Landrover Warranty so if it's something other than a fuse I'll just take it back.

Simon.

Took fuse out and put it back. Then took the disc out of the sat nav and put it back and what would you know...... it's all booted back up again!

Iain a.k.a 10forcash popped round yesterday and reset it all properly using diagnostics, and that has solved it.

I am having the same trouble. Radio appears to work but no NAV screen and no sound. The bluetooth also is out. I have looked at fuses and disconnected the battery. Any other ideas.

The dealership thinks it may be from previous water intrusion, leak from sunroof drain. They want to book 7 hours and look over the car - basically trial and error. This is at over 120.00 dollars an hour, just for looking. I sure would like to avoid that.

I have a 2006 LR3 HSE by the way! And......first post and all.... A Big Hello from the U.S.
