For London the £1000 is probably quite good......
Here I pay €300 per service, but that's at an out of town dealership, it would be more like €500 each in Dublin.... 59 D4 XS (2.7 TDV6 6 speed Manual) Commercial (UK spec) with extras such as Premium Navigation.

Whilst not trying to be funny ... but what happens if the dealer closes down after 10 months ... and 3 services have been paid for. Is such service arrangements underwritten by Land Rover ... i.e. would it be transferrable to another outfit in case of dealership closure. Also, is the arrangement transferrable to a new owner? Any thoughts .... experiences?

If you're near Leicester then Armson Automotive in Syston, can't recommend them highly enough. They also have a courtesy car. http://armsonae.webs.com/ or http://www.armsonae.co.uk/ BV55 YZE, ex G4 Challenge RRS. So not a Disco 3. Well, not quite.
