| Susp fault popped 2 60amp yellow fusible links in 3 days? |
|
Was out and about Monday and the suspension fault light came on with the message 'suspension fault, normal height only'. Checked fuses as starter for 10 and all blade ECU fuses ok but yellow 60amp fusible link had popped (FL10). Got to dealer in Stockport and bought 2 replacements (1 spare) but today the message reappeared and on checking the FL10 link had popped again. Have changed it again along with the 70amp relay (R7) from the dealer in Preston and by time i got home the message has reappeared. The fusible link (FL10) is fine so now a tad baffled? Suspension works fine and is static in normal height mode, just disables the rise/fall and also the all terrain response system. Any ideas????? I suspect your compressor may be on its way out .
Maybee piston has come apart and pulling more amps that your fuses / relays can handle
Perhaps get any faults read and see if it gives you any clues G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I revitalised a d2 compressor by putting a little light oil down the air inlet might be worth a try before wrighting it off

Fault codes now read and it's C1A20 (compressor too slow filling reservoir) which makes it sound like the comp is on its way out as suggested in a previous posting. Anyone have knowledge/experience of this code or it's eventual outcome?
The next question, whilst I wait on a call back from TLO is does anyone a spare/old one knocking about which I could get my hands on?? Been suggested I try the overhaul kit LR020590 which has a spring, grommet and new seal for replacing the ones on the valve unit. Anyone tried this?
