My thoughts exactly Thumbs Up

It IS the official LR diagnosis after all... Wink

Paperwork has been sent, just waiting for their approval (hopefully tomorrow)

How did you sort your switch pack out in the end Ian?

Thinking of proactively ordering the compressor repair kit as well, in case WD decline the replacement, might not be too bad a job to do as well as replacing the switch...

Must be the time of year, few threads popping up with C1A20 over the past two days... Confused

UPDATE 2

WD have authorised the compressor replacement (at over twice the part cost to what I understand the compressor retails in the UK Shocked ), one seems to be in the country at the moment so may get that done before the weekend... Rolling Eyes

Quick question though: does the CCF need updating (or anything else other than clearing the fault codes) after a compressor change?

Dealer has no clue, I asked...

Thanks

There was a discussion about the software update ("AC" or later) in this thread:

Thanks Nick Thumbs Up

Does the relay change apply to later vehicles as well, I seem to remember that it was only part of the compressor recall procedure for pre-MY 07 vehicles...

Booked for tomorrow now, will try to force the issue of checking for a software update for the compressor, would that show up only on probing the suspension ECU in more depth?

Any further pointes greatly appreciated Thumbs Up

UPDATE 3

Well, as it turns out it was indeed a faulty compressor Shocked

Less than an hour at the dealer, I would have been in trouble had WD not approved the replacement at EUR 746 for the part alone!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Here's the new shiny one. part LR023964:

Software update was required from 6H22-14D394-AC to 5H22-14D396-AA (thanks for the link to the other thread Thumbs Up )...

And here's how the new and old compare Rolling with laughter :

Many thanks for all the pointers and assistance and hopefully this thread will add to the long list of posts to read through if "suspension fault" or "vehicle raising slowly" or "special programmes off" (hint: keywords Thumbs Up ) comes up on the dashboard.

Cheers Thumbs Up Bow down Thumbs Up

UPDATE 4

Hmmm... maybe not quite sorted yet...

Car has been in my garage for the past four days after a successful few miles on Friday. Went in to start her up this morning, all good, sat for a few mins to warm her up... (it has been sub-zero for the last couple of days) The car is locked at access height as always in the garage.

Then BING! "Extended mode bla bla" and "Reset suspension height when clear of obstacle bla bla". I promptly raised to normal height, no probs, message clears Confused Re-lower and lock at access and nothing further for the next few mins... Then SWMBO shows up tells me she needs to take the Disco today, so can't monitor anything further till this afternoon... Neutral

So given the new compressor and software update, what do people think:
- Sensor(s)?
- Switch? (I feel the "I told you so" coming my way)
- Something else?

Cheers Thumbs Up

EDIT (two days later): well, other than that one morning occurrence, the extended height message has not appeared since and I've driven a few miles now; maybe a fluke, time will tell I guess (though I don't really believe in flukes when it comes to mechanical equipment Whistle )
