Discovery 3 A Pillar door loom connector (drivers side)
I'm after the connector block on the main loom that the door loom connects into (see photo). It's made by Tyco, but not available as a separate part from JLR. Mine is damaged and no longer locks/mates correctly, meaning I need to push the connection back together every so often which is annoying.
Any breakers willing to split a main loom to sell this part? Alternatively which complete loom do I need to look for to get this?

Can a cable tie not be made to work? If you can make a small hole through the receiver side without damaging the cables two very small ties together might get you out of it!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

It's pretty tight in there. I had another go at attaching the connectors yesterday and I think I might have actually fixed it. It was the garage that old me they suspected the locking mech was broken. Fingers crossed it's fixed!Smoked swooshy side repeaters

Symptoms of a bad connection here:
Intermittently not working/warning light on:
Folding mirrors
Mirror adjustments
Rear electric windows
Airbag warning light
If you have any of these consider a faulty loom/bad connection at this plug.Smoked swooshy side repeaters

If you can find out the tyco part number, email them and request a sample. I have in the past and got a plug I needed for my escort cosworth.
Tyco do list all there parts with schematics. It’s just finding the right one.

How do you get access to this connector? Mine had a few faults for mirrors and airbag light recently. Cleared up now, but sounds like it!

I eventually fixed this. The solution was actually simple: there are two sides to the locking mechanism that turns to lock the plug in place. The hard to reach side was 180° out and simply needed to be twisted round so it engaged fully and locked. Since I did this everything related to that door and the rear windows open/close has worked correctly.Smoked swooshy side repeaters
