Since owning the car i would get the yellow peril light on the dash and the car would hunker down and go all bouncy.. did some reading and points back to battery etc.
i bought a new battery and then after had to have the alternator replaced.
i tested the volage and it was 12.7v idle and 14.8 when revving it past 2500rpm.
so i thought this would have solved me HDC fault.. errmm sort of? strangley the light only comes on when travelling at about 60/70 mph for about 15-20mins.. ie on a motorway/dual carriageway. if i pull over and stop/start light goes off.
am i travelling to slow for the smart charge not to kick in.. and hence no volts/amps to power the ride height..? 2005 HSE TDV6

Are you sure it's the HDC that's reporting a fault?
If the car is dropping and getting 'bouncy' sounds more like a suspension error - possibly the compressor giving you a warning it's not too well. I see no ships........

All the yellow lights come on the dash.. starts of by saying HDC Fault.. then it says suspension lowered.. and the yellow sign to say the car is wobbley (one with arrows either side)...
If i stop.. park up and turn car on and off it's fine..
It's not a massive problem for me.. it's just annoying.. as i eventually want to lower the ride height.. 2005 HSE TDV6
