| Arduino Uno - Possible FBH project |
|
For anyone that enjoys playing with electronics, take a look at the Arduino Uno. I am thinking of another FBH project. I have seen it on the CPC website priced at £18.99 plus vat
The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
Summary:
Microcontroller: ATmega328
Operating Voltage: 5V
Recommended Input Voltage: 7-12V
Maximum Input Voltage: 6-20V
Digital I/O Pins: 14 (6 for PWM O/P)
Analog Input Pins: 6
DC Current per I/O Pin: 40mA
DC Current for 3.3V Pin: 50mA
Clock Speed: 16MHz
ATmega328 Memory:
Flash: 32KB (0.5KB used by bootloader)
SRAM: 2KB
EEPROM: 1KB
For more information, take a look at: http://arduino.cc/playground/ Discovery 3 - for work.
Defender 90 - for work & play.
Argocat 8x8 - for play.
Vauxhall Astra - for her.

It's what I use for my Solar PV controller. Very neat and flexible...

I'm playing around with a Netduino (basically the same thing but programmed with the .NET Micro Framework). Very cool. Given time, the possibilities are endless! Dennis

I have never got around to using it, but there is a library on sourceforge that implements the Webasto Wbus protocol. Looks as if the code can be built for an MSP430, so perhaps an MSP Launchpad might be a better option if you specifically want to tinker with the FBH:
