| D3 TO D4 FUEL CONSUMPTION |

Do people find that the fuel consumption better or worse on a D4 comparted to a D3 urban and motorway usage?? Looking at a D4 as we speak and pondering over all avenues?

On my D3, I used to get an indicated 26.5 mpg. on my MY 2010 D4 it was about the same (maybe a tad more). On my MY 2012 D4, so far after 3000 miles, I'm getting 30.5 which is equating to about 40 extra miles per tankful. Not very scientific I know but my driving routes are regular with a mix of motorway, urban and rural roads so IMHO it's a fair comparison model to model. I drive at the relevant national speed limit where possible.
