| Fault codes p0405, p140a, p132b |
|
Hello, I have a 2005 discovery3 2.7 tdv6 a message comes on the dash display ( engine system fault ) a local garage has plugged it in their computer and tell me the fault codes are p0405 egr sensor A circuit low p140a egr sensor c circuit low and p132b turbo boost control A performance.
By the way the car runs fine with no obvious problems.
I have blanked off the egr valves with a blanking kit off of eBay I thought this might have done the trick but today the garage cleared the fault codes but the warning ( engine system fault ) came straight back on again and it was the same fault codes, anyone got any bright ideas?
Cheers Dean

p132b is a Turbo fault sticking vanes I think as for the others they are EGR's and you have blanked so just forget about them.
You need to check your hoses on the Turbo for splits but I think you might be heading towards a Turbo replacement or fix..

Hi 879dean,
I had the dash display an engine system fault, and the error code p132B show up before Christmas; it turned out to be the EGR valves. The problem was accompanied by very poor fuel economy. Now its fixed and I am back to just poor economy . SDV6 HSE 11MY

Hi,
£18.90 sounds a lot cheaper than a new turbo, but what is involved in fitting? Is it body off? CGA
