Disco 3 front parking sensors

Hi all,

I'm new here and have a question about my Disco 3.

It's a 56 plate Disco 3 XS and and whilst it has rear parking sensors it has no front ones but it does have a switch for it.

What's the deal? Can they be installed or are they hiding somewhere? I guess the only way to solve it is to start drilling but obviously a no go?

I'd for starters like to know what the deal is? Does the XS not have them at the front?

Thanks

Mike

Ok, you probibly have the wiring there, connector is under the drivers feont headlight.

You need the 4 bezels, 4 sensors a wiring loom and somebody with a faultmate msv2 mv licence to turn them on when you have put them on.

The front bumper can be removed, you will see marks on the back to cut out, then fit sensors, add wiring loom, and refit bumper pluging in wiring loom. Then enable job done.

Parts are prob about £120 ish new try tlo for a price (yovil lr parts dept, as its a good discount etc)

Depending on where you are there is normally somebody with a mav2 not too far away.

I looked at this bck along. IIRC new parts came in just shy of 200. But as I didn't ave the second spare connector behind the front light I gave up. No one could answer me if there was a loom that fitted into the connector for the front fogs/washers that then controlled the front PDC.
I can't imagine there is but it's strange that I don't have the second connector but have rear PDC.

Think the loom changed at a certain time when the accountants at lr worked out they could reduce costs by not putting spare connectors on the cars.

Think you can take the wires back to the pdc unit if needed but thats not as simple.
