Could anyone tell me where the sensor/switch is that tells my Discovery that the Bonnet is open.
I need to know because its lying, my Bonnet is fully closed. It is getting really annoying having the horn beep when I lock up and having Bonnet Open on the dash all the time.
Any help appreciated.

here is a (bit fuzzy) pic of the sensor, with the red and black connector.
one thing you could look at is whether the switch is seated properly and has not dropped down. put your hand underneath and push up.

I had this. I needed to adjust the right hand catch upwards a fraction. you just loosen the two screws and lift it up a few mm.
there is a tsb about adjustment. Club 18 - 30 (I wish !!)

Thanks for the info and photo.
No amount of fidling made any difference, so I've modified things a little (pulled out connector and taped a paper-clip across it). PEACE.
Just have to remember to check whether I have a very large sheet of metal infront of me across my windscreen before I move off, now I haven't got a LCD message to tell me.
Thanks

with the connector removed, try putting a meter across the switch and use a piece of wire or something to operate the switch and see if its stuffed.

I had this recently and Shukers have had a couple in for repair recently.
Service Manager asked me to try something out on mine to see if it cured it, if not he would order a batch in as it may start to become a common problem...
Anyway. He asked me to unclip and re-seat the connector. This failed to work. So I decided to try again and found that by holding the clip (so it won't catch) and inserting / removing a number of times it cured the problem.
I guess the metal gets corroded and by doing some connector 'sex' for a while cleans out the connector nicely.
Don't let the wife, children or neighbours see you though

The paper clip worked for me, at least can lock the car without it alarming now and not fiddling about with central lock and passenger door lock to close the thing

same problem but just flicked the sensor closed a coupl of times and pulled out the connector plug.
to be honest i think it was the fonzy esk tap and "ehhh!" that did the trick though.
