Very interesting stuff, interesting to hear how many engineers JLR have working on it and the fact it will be in customers hands in 2014, exciting times Cheers Ian

Well it seems that it was only Ian and myself who had shown some interest to at least muster up a post.
I'd go and bar the rest of them DG.
They don't deserve to have free access to all the information you research and post.

Bet it will be Linux, except for a closed source bootloader and requiring signed binaries for updating.
Car manufacturers would be happier if customers couldn't even open the bonnet, let alone poke around the dirty secrets of their software

Is this connected to the questionnaire Liam@LandRover presented?
Nice to see there's plenty of investment at JLR.

It does look good.
Especially if its based on a more mainstream OS it will be more tweakable for the rest of us in the longterm.
The GUI reminds me a bit of the stuff you see in the last jimmy bond movies FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!
