Thought people might be interested as I have just had my 55plate SE auto done. Ian arrived and a few hours later all was done - painless
Immediately it felt smoother, but a week after it was done I drove to Austria and back to go skiing, and these are the figures:
- journey out 785 miles
- average mpg 23.3
- average speed 62mph
Effectively this was driving at 75mph in the UK, 85 mph in Holland and 95 mph in Germany.
After the trip back the figures were
- total 1793 miles
- average mpg 24.4
- average speed 55mph
As you can guess I came back a bit slower as we had time, and the roads were busier.
All in all very pleased - noticably more power when on steep hills and overtaking, and 100mph came up without trying

was the MPG actual (brim to brim fills calculated against mileometer), and not from the dodgy trip comp?

Dodgy trip
But I could actually work it out if I can find all the receipts!
