Finally narrowed down the search of my new (to me) Disco.
The one i'm favouring hasn't got any tow equipment or electrics I know the dealer price would be a fortune but what are my options for an after market one?
i see the removable ones come up on the for sale section here but i would need electics added and enabled? and would i be able to add tow assist? as i beleive this can be added with surround cameras?
Any pointers would be great rather than hand over more to the dealer than i have to
cheers
Tim

tow assist & cameras are factory order option on the D4, tow electrics are around £190+vat OEMLR 7 pin loom but yer should be able to find 13 pin second hand on here from time to time.
As for yer tow bar itself, various options for aftermarket like Witter etc, or a removable one but a lot depends on what yer going to be towing and how regularly.
BTW yer not mentioned whether a D4 OR d3

Thanks for the reply Sorry yes its for a D4.
Stupid question but does the removable bar you can buy just fit into whatever is there on a standard disco so would just need one of these and the electrics and i'm good to go?
The one i'm looking at does have the cameras as factory fit and i though (maybe wrongly) that tow assit came with this or if it could be enabled if i added the electrics.

£190
Average price is about £90 for electrics ... There's a brand new 13 pin set on eBay for £50 buy it now
I paid £60 two years ago for the double 7 pin set
Tow assist can be added if you have surround cameras G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks Wiggs..
Would the tow assist be something a Friendly Faultmate operator could do or is that dealer only?
with the fitting of the electrics is that relatively idiot proof?
Cheers
