Track us Off Roving the Great Divide online

Each of the participants on the GDII will get All Eyes GPS trackers for their vehicles for the trip. Here's how to find out where everyone is!

With All Eyes GPS trackers in all of our vehicles, anyone can go online or use their cell phone to track our progress!

ONLINE

Simple go to: http://www.alleyestracker.com/IndexNoFlash.aspx

Log in using:

USER: offroving
PASS: goroving

Now in the portal, you can see our 8 vehicles. Choose any to "get map".

Once viewing the map you can display routing and other information.

Please don't change any settings. This is an honor rule thing.

CELL PHONE

To get updates via cell phone SMS:

1. Create a text message template with the following test as the body, exactly as seen here:

$ASI,OFFROVING,GOROVING,LAST,OFFROVING1

[or OFFROVING2, OFFROVING3, OFFROVING4, etc. up to 8. My vehicle is OFFROVING1]

2. Send this message above to the following phone number: 500-817-3951

You will receive a text message back with details on our location, speed, etc.

This GPS system uses the national cell phone network [all carriers, data]. So if there are delays it means we're on top of a mountain. The system will data dump when we are back in range and notify the system with all of our past travels immediately.

Enjoy!

And me.

That said, it's a pretty cool avatar. But I wouldn't want to try loading it up on the PDA..

Avatar

I changed my avatar. Not sure why it was so big or why it allowed it to post.

Hope this is more pleasing.
