My D3 is my 5th LR, on each one I have had "TrackBack" fitted, this is by siemens. Call centre is great when I have to cross to Ireland re the boat and if I travel to France via Channel Tunnel.
Cost approx £400, but you can get discount from Insurance companys if its fitted.
The system is based on GPS, not like the Tracker, which needs Police forces to be very close to the target veh.
TrackBack will pinpoint your veh to 1m via call centre which will inform the police.
If the car is stolen by barrel break it activates the system, call centre then ring you to check where veh is, if its not where you think it should be they will contact local police telling them where the veh is to within 1m, even if its in a container.

Well i have gone for the NavTrak system. Its the one recommended by the dealer and they will fit it so if there are any problems with it (or the car) then I have one place to go and not get stuck in a fight between one company blaming another for any problems. Also the NavTrak has a battery backup which can last about 3 weeks without the main battery connected. I also went for the system with the driver recognition tags so as soon as the car is moved it should begin to do its stuff. A bit like insurance its something hopefully I will never have to use but it will be nice to know its there and I wont be worrying about leaving the car (as I know I will be for the first few weeks or months at least) I don't dance but I do Disco
