Transfer box again

I have just attempted to re-calibrate the transfer box following the method shown on several posts on this forum. I start the procedure but hear nothing to indicate that anything is happening. Going through the motions for both high and low I hear a small clunk when you switch off but noting else. No fault codes come up and it drives in both high and low. However I get the front wheel "skipping" on hard lock which I think means that the transfer box clutch is remaining engaged?. If I pull the electrical plug off it drives fine(reduced drive of course) without any noises. I'm confident that no other problems outside the transfer box exist. Anyone have any ideas how else to reset/calibrate the transfer box? My diagnostic tool only reads and clears and has no reset functions. As anyone managed to reset a transfer box by doing a black reset or do I have no alternative but a trip to the local stealer?

I think the manual method for calibrating the TRansfer case only works on earlier models ?

As I tried it once and it did nothing !!!!

You most likely need the Gap iid tool or as you suggest a trip to the stealers
