Transfering LR warranty & Servicing |
|
I have a 2.5 year old Discovery that I got from a non-LR dealer. The car has 70K on the clock but I understand it is a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty with the Discovery. As the new owner do I need to do anything (notify LR?) to transfer the remaining 6 months warranty to me, or does it automatically stay with the car regardless of owner?
I had a quick look in the service book and it has the service schedule listed up to 60K only. Is it every 15K miles/12 months (whichever comes soonest) for servicing? Is there a dash indicator/reminder when it is due?
Lastly, any recommendations for a good LR dealer in South Bedfordshire? Stratstones in MK is probably the closest to me, but their name does not seem to be too popular on these forums!
Cheers

Manufacturers warranty stays with the vehicle so it's automatically yours
Service is every 15k/12 months to serviced up to 60k is correct on a 70k car (unless the 60k service was over 12 months ago)
Dash indicator should show miles/days to next service when you first put the key in, doesn't show until you get close to needing it though The End

Would it still be worth him calling into a dealer and registering his details? Would they then be able to easily check the car for any outstanding recall work?
