Transmission Control Module |

So...I thought I was doing the right thing, agreed a sale of my 2007 D3 HSE and got the car fully valeted for the new buyer. The valet company, very reputable came to my house and cleaned the car, they even threw in a free engine clean (I didn't ask for this). Anyway the buyer comes this morning and on start up all the dash lights come on with associated transmission faults, HDC and Parking Brake...you get the picture. So after doing some research, turns out you shouldn't wash the engine compartment of a D3. Sure enough removed the Integrated Transfer Case (TCM) from behind the battery and its drowning in water.
My questions are as follows:
1) Is this unit plug and play?...thinking of a BN replacement if drying the old fails and couldn't find anything on whether this unit needs to be set up by a pro.
2) What recourse should I look at from the valet company?
