Transmission Possible Stiff gear link issue ?
Hi Today i had a weird issue, I pulled up to a junction which was on a slope and the car started to roll backwards. when i rev'd the engine nothing happened, so quickly applied the brake , i didn't touch anything, i just accelerated and the car pulled away fine.
i do think the selector feels a lot stiffer than it did before, , this only seems to be happening when pulling away after stopping, i don't get any issues in any other gears.
it also happened as i was pulling up to a junction to turn right, braked, and accelerated but the rev's went up and nothing happened, braked and tried again and it worked. ! its not happened before but this is the first time i have driven it in warm temperatures,
there are no transmissions faults.
Cheers for any advice
Mark

When it happens you need to check if you have a D in the instrument LCD display. If not, you prob need to grease yer linkage, or replace it.

I would be inclined to check your gearbox oil level, when was it last looked at? Has it ever been flushed, or changed?
