Hi there,
Tree sliders are getting exspensive and even a greater proportion of the value of the whole truck as it gets old! I'm on a budget and can't be bothered sticking with the steps which rust away. Plus aren't suitable for offroad trips.
So going the DIY route.
I'm hoping to use the workshop at work to make the sill parts on the press brake folder then continue with the bar parts and step plates on my own.
Does anyone have the sill angles to hand or some tree sliders they can measure up for me?
The bend to 90 degrees looks to be two 45 degree bends then a little 20 degree kick to finish. Sound about right?
As folks have made treesliders before just thought id ask on the off chance.

Hi,
I have a used set I am refurbing at the moment so I can get the dimensions etc from them for you. Ill do it when i get back tonight or on Friday. I would suggest watching Nate on Dirtlifestyle as he makes some for a D2 (I think) but it might give you some inspiration. There is also a guy on the FB group that made his own but I cant remember his name, if I find the post I will forward it on to you.
