No, and with affordable fault readers/clearers, there is even less to worry about.
Ironically, the only time I've been stranded because of suspension was with broken leaf springs on an old BJ47 Landcruiser. It can happen to any car.....

In keeping with the KISS principle, one could always install a switch in the pilot exhaust valve solenoid circuit to prevent lowering. The "failed" pilot exhaust valve whilst at off-road height is documented in the WSM, stating that all levelling would be suspended whilst the fault exists, but no detrimental effects other than the message are indicated. The ignition may need to be cycled to regain proper operation.
