Tuff-Trek RT and Howling Moon Half Moon

I have a 1.4m Tuff-Trek roof tent and am wanting to add the Howling Moon Half Moon 1.4 to the setup so I have a fully-enclosed solution where I can access the roof tent from within the awning.

Don't suppose anyone has done this (or with other 1.4m roof tents) and knows if two will marry together?

Thumbs Up

I had the 1.4m Howling Moon and the extension from a Hannibal RT, I just couldn't marry them together as they are different designs and connections.

You may have the same issue with your two different makes

Hmm, that would be a shame.

I don't mind my setup of a foxwing and roof tent but to get in the RT you have to leave the foxwing to get into the annex of the RT and SWMBO isn't happy about that as it means the kids are up there on their own with access to/from it. She's after something where the RT is accessible from within the foxwing awning and I thought the Half Moon would afford us that!

A similar setup can be found here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54842.html but it uses Howling Moon product all round.

Drop Simon a PM (sailorboy) I'm sure he's had some additional material added by a company in Bristol to his set-up.

Cut a hole in foxwing and add new material to bridge the gap perhaps?

Just thinking out aloud, but Simon will have some good thoughts Thumbs Up

SWMBO was the same so.....

So I have had a mod done to the bottoms of my tuff trek 1.8m lower annex to allow you to walk right the way round from the awning into lower annex. I had a 400mm wide door made and then a matching zip to the side panel stitched to the lower annex so the side panel can be joined. Sorry I did not get loads of pictures but here is one of the door I added.

07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Interesting mod, thanks Simon.

The other option I was thinking of was butting an Oztent RV to the door of the annex, but it would create a very long setup. There's also the issue of having a 1.4m wide annex butted to a 2.4m wide RV!!!
