I am taking mine out and replacing with a Tyredog as they have a 6 sender unit available - just waiting for the stock to arrive

Heine, Looks good but what pressure values can be set for off-road use?

Maybe get a few guys together to get the wholesale price. I may be interested but would need a 8 wheel system and a 4 wheel system for the Wrangler.

Not on this particular one , it uses a sender that is attached to the valve and does not have anything that goes into the tyre . (This also makes it easy to move between vehicles)

OK heard from him

The 4 unit one goes for R1700
The 6 unit for R2900
The 8 unit TBA

All prices are VAT inclusive

He is sold out of the 4 unit at the moment , the 6 is expected any day and the 8 is still being tested

It is a new product but I know he has sold a lot of the 4 unit (hence the stock shortage) and every body is very happy

BTW there is also a 2 unit for bikes etc

PM me for his contact details as I don't wan't to post them here

I got the 4 unit earlier this week and Heine's right, no balancing required. No need for the 6 unit unless you're pulling a trailer. Seems to be a good product except for one issue (on my particular unit). My front left will not give me a reading higher than 300kpa, whereas the others all go higher. I even pumped my FL to 360 to see if it would register higher, but it wouldn't. Have contacted Tyredog directly and am waiting a response. Shall keep you posted.

The other thing I would like to know is what is excessive temperature in the tyres. The TD will only give an alarm from 50C upwards, but my tyres tend to run at below 30 in town. To me 50 sounds high as a minimum overheating level (I know that once off-road with lower pressures the temp will go up). Does 50C sound okay to the rest of you?

Depends on speed and tyre type I guess . My Cooper STT's regularly get into high 50's on longer runs at 120 km/h . The road tyres not .

According to the supplier they had lots of issues with funny readings that were sorted by replacing the battery . Seems like the original batteries suck

OK feedback on TD as promised

Dead easy to fit
Like the big screen - much better than Digityre
You can set min and max pressures and max temp - unlike DT
I have the six unit version - but you can set it to only display 4 tyres if trailer not attached
It can work on batteries only (unlike DT which has to be plugged into the cigarette lighter)
It comes with both a windscreen and a dash mount (albeit a bit flimsy)
Because the senders fit onto the outside of the valve it is totally DIY and easily changeable (unlike DT which requires professional fitment and tyre balancing)
It doesn't have a "off road mode" like the DT but should you let your tyres down beyond your set thresh-hold you can just mute it

All in all very chuffed Thumbs Up

Forgot to add - no stupid antenna wires everything is integrated into display unit

Mine allows you to set temp all the way down to 1C Question
