Car is a 2016 Discovery 4 Graphite. Can I ask three questions –
Do I have tyre pressure monitoring?
I fit a set of wheels/tyres without the pressure sensors will the dash show a fault/error?
If so can the tyre monitoring system be easily turned off?

Yes you have TPMS
Yes if you fit a set without sensors you'll have an MOT failing fault on your dash.
Yes it can be turned off using diagnostic software, but be aware of the insurance implications of disabling a vehicle safety system should you have an accident which is found to be caused by a defective or deflated tyre.

Easier to get hold of a set of sensors for your other set of wheels.

Hi
that was my next question - if I get wheels without sensors is it a drama to buy and link new sensors

No providing you get the correct ones, there are two types you need the later ones if yours read the pressure rather than give a low pressure warning, 2 mile drive and they will connect automatically. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I also bought from eBay, allegedly genuine LR coded ready to go, ended up buying a set off a forum member and have behaved impeccably since.
