Hi
I am new to this forum and would appreciate some advice if poss.
I bought an 06 d3se with grabber at2 tyres they look almost new.
The question is are they ok for day to day (motorway driving) etc as I have found they slip a bit when I go round bends in the wet. Spoke to someone who knows and they said they would slip due to harder tyre compound.
Not an off roader and bought the car for size and comfort.
Thanks I love my LDR3...

Hi and welcome to the forum!!!
The harder compound will affect traction/adhesion - as to the onroad use I cannot comment but for sure others will be along I am sure in the next few days to answer this

Definately ok for day to day driving (as in you will not fall off the road etc)
But as you have noticed - will have different characteristics to a full "road" tyre.
If it is just comfort etc you are looking for, then it probably is a good idea to change to get the best out of the on-road benefits of the D3.
And you can recover some of the costs of new tyres by selling the AT2's on here. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

AT2 is a superb tyre, but they can be a bit twitchy (but NOT unsafe) in the wet if driving in a spirited fashion, as you bought the car for comfort, i am sure they well be fine for your needs I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Silly thought, but check the pressures if you haven't already. I took a test drive once with tyres that turned out to be way over inflated (dealers, huh?) and the thing handled like a shopping trolley...

With the AT2 I think they are better with between 2-4psi up on rec pressure front and rear for tarmac, but you will each find the pressure that suits you.

It depends what sort you buy, £400 will get you 4 tyres that are of very good quality I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Hello All,
I too am not an off roader but i went from full road to AT'2.
They look the nuts, they will take around 40k to wear out, they havent really hurt the mpg, and I havent noticed any wet problems as yet.
The downside is a slight hum at low speeds.
Id stay stick with them and if like me you find yourself doing a delivery in darkest Dorchester to a v muddy farm in the middle of nowhere you will be VERY glad to had the AT's on!!!
enjoy its an All Terrain Vehicle.
