ok got SWMBO's D3 serviced and they pointed that it needed 4 new tyres.

Currently running Goodyear Wranglers 235/70R17's

Being quoted, VAT inclusive and fitted price of €181 each for Goodyears, €141 for Continentals and €130 for Cooper AT's.

Thinking of going with the Coopers - anyone got any suggestions/recommendations/cheaper source? 1993 Defender 110 300tdi - many mods

Patrick ,Cooper ATR 235/70 111S are a very good tyre for wearing and I use them on the D2 with D3 rims.

4 tyres @ 405 yo yos delivered to your door if your VAT reg'd , 467 if not.

supply n fit n balanced

145 per corner, +vodka n tonic if you want to pay it , or not if you dont Whistle

I realise ur on "17, this price is just for comparison purposes, will get matching prices for you by this evening

am sure I can get similar deals on other tyres, except Coopers Big Cry

myself, have found the mitchillen Synchrones unbeatable for milage, but are expensive Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time.

Also appears 9/10 of stopping is stopping in time

Thanks for the info guys. I'm not really in a rush to have them fitted. I don't really need off road tyres and the missus normally uses the car for local stuff only. When we travel we take my D3.

I'll see what other deals I can get and wait to hear from you guys. I've got a spare set of black HSE 19 inch alloys I might be interested in getting road tyres for my own D3 for.
