Unable to select 'Drive' on auto box

Anyone come across this one, done a search and came up with manual or stick-shift auto?

2012MY 'rotary' auto selector.

Selected reverse, pulled off, selected drive and........nothing. Can get park, neutral and reverse but not drive? Rolling Eyes

If it was the old style Auto I'd say it's probably the linkage underneath, but sorry I think this may be a first for the Knobs Whistle

Be interesting to hear what the resolution is though. Hope you get it sorted soon. Thumbs Up

Not my car - was asked about it. Was recovered to dealer and "put on diagnostics and adjusted" (probably what they tell every punter for pretty much anything?). Was only there an hour or so so can't be anything major you would think?

This was similar to a problem on the original XFs and was caused by a faulty component (ISTR a simple resistor). Mine failed and was fixed on the drive in under an hour by Jaguar Assistance, although he dismantled a fair bit of the car and told me I may want to wait inside while he did it ! The whole assembly was changed and you would never know it had been touched so Thumbs Up to the techie.
