Uncle Ray Sliders
Thinkin on dumpin my chrome toobs [they keep gettin bent] and buyin some RLD sliders.
But got a few Q's
Main one is -Uncle Ray's sliders are made of Alu, so how does that offer addittional protection to the sills - surely the alu will just bend?
What is the finish ie are they powder coated, and if so are colours an option?
Will the finish come off when rock sliding?
How many £'s for a set?
What's lead time?
How easy are they to fit?
any other info would be of help

Just ordered a set from Uncle Ray without asking any of those questions (apart from the cost)!

Did the finish come off your chassis rails when rock sliding? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I would imagine that any contact with Mr. Rock will result in a little 'chaffing' of the finish 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

the sills wont bend. they are about 6mm thick. I had Side protections tubes and replaced them with RLD sliders. 10 x better and cheaper. Stop dithering and buy some
EDIT : sorry didnt mean to be abrupt buit if you are looking at SPT's then RLDs RS's are a no brainer.Duncan

Colour is irrelevant... get black.
Once the doors are closed you can't even see them.
When the doors are open you can only tell they are there if you know what you are looking for.
Just buy em if you need em.

Oh, and PM RLD, I'm sure he has alll the info for you.
Ask Marcus what he thinks of RLD's rock sliders - they saved his G4 D3 from a nasty rock on the 4th Irish meet I went on in July with them - I'm glad I got mine and wouldn't think twice about buying them again.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
