Unknown part fitted to rear inner wheel arch.

Hi All,

I have just removed both my rear inner wheel arches to clean and Lanoguard. When I removed all the screws and clips, a plastic disc thing dropped off. It is oval and wired to the car. It almost looks like an aerial.

Does anyone know what this is?
