Urgent help-door cable broken
I was just changing my door cards, and the clip that holds the door cable to the lock has broken.
I now cannot close the door (as I wont be able to open it) and need to get a part FAST. Anyone know anyone whose got one in Gloucestershire?
I have glued with Gorilla glue and am going to leave it overnight to dry, but really need a plan B.
Picture of broken bit here: Its the "knob" on the end that has come away.

Thanks! I will put it back together and if it works I will be happy-I can just order one for delivery in the week.
How did you get on replacing it? Nightmare?

replacement aint difficult but best to have someone with very small hands to unclip glass before moving winding motor to the side to be able to reach the other end of that cable where it meets the door latch itself
look for door latch replacement topics on here some with awesome pictures ...

to make replacement quicker i can add that i never took outer handle off the car to remove door latch
just unbolt inner door latch and it will have enough slack on the cable connecting to outer handle to replace the cable you got snapped
saves a lot of fiddly bits with door handle caps and all

I was wondering about that.
Is it not mage fiddly for one with fat hands to do it in situ?

inner door latch side of that cable has to be swung out of it seat as it is secured there through this triangular shape clip thing
so undo door latch screws pull and twis door latch as cable attaches very close to door sheet metal on towards the inside of the car
once there u will see what i am on about
