Used BAS controller.

Has anyone fitted a second hand BAS FBH controller? I've just fitted a used one to mine, it works off the headlights but I can't pair with it by phone... It could be that the Sim that came with it has no credit, but I'm wondering if its paired with a phone previously it might not pair with mine.... Anyone experienced this before?

When you first power it up you should see a message telling you it has powered up, you need to do a factory reset, then when its powered up text HE and wait for a text back.

Cheers Flack,

That's my problem, I've messaged the existing number 'HE' as per the Bell instructions to the previously used Sim card that came in it, but got no reply... I'm leaning towards the thought that the Sim has no credit to message me back... I think...

If its a Three simj they wont work, get a giffgaff sim and start a new.

Well, a new giff gaff sim in, with credit, all leds flashing correctly... Cannot get it to respond to my HE text... Anyone know if I'd have to get the previous owners phone unpaired or is there a work around to pair mine to it?

Quick update in case it helps anyone in the future...

Pete from BAS has told me it needs a reset once it's been previously paired with a phone.... Top bloke 👍👍

Unfortunately I can't do it till its been unpaired from the previous owners phone, hopefully Pete at BAS will be able to sort it on his return.
