| wade sensing and prospeed rock sliders |
|
I notice the handbook says that wade sensing does not work if you fit the LR side steps but does anybody know if the prospeed rock sliders also impact it?
I know the width of the rock sliders is less but is it enough?

Did you ever find out? Thinking of buying some aftermarket sliders/tubes and not sure if I will lose wade sensing. One thing that comes to mind is that wade sensing is basically a downwards facing parking sensor under the mirrors (plus a tilt sensor?)... Even with side steps, once the water is above their level it should work fine?

I fitted the prospeed sliders and the wade sensing didn't detect them and show a reduced depth available 
Looking at the side profile compared against the LR side steps, the prospeed sliders do not extend into the beam for the wade sensing so all looks to be good MY16 Landmark - Yulong White

Looking at the ProSpeed site... Did you fit rock sliders or the type with tree sliders too? I'm looking at the type that have tree sliders, so they do stick out a bit - maybe not as much as side steps... Guess I'll have to see what happens - In any case, I think the number of times I'll use wade sensing is far outweighed by the number of times I'll want the protection

Probably stick out 2/3 the distance that the side steps do maybe less. I also figured that the side protection and step inserts would get far more use
