I wil be selling mine in the next week. As I say 54 plate (lower tax bracket) se with 78,000 miles. It has the heated black leather seats, manual. Had both belts and tensioners done in mid 2015 which was 10,000 miles ago so you have 95,000 miles or just over 5 years before they need doing again.
I want £9500.

Hi,
We have a 2004 SE 2.7 TDV6 automatic black with black heated leather, 103,000 miles with history, it has had all the important bits replaced in the last year.
Very honest clean example, would this be of interest to you?

I went to buy something yesterday that was 65 miles away from my house, 2.5hrs each way!!! Mind you it was in the middle of Wales but even so it's put me off road trips for a little while.

I think its better to travel to see good ones that are known than stick close to home and take a chance on something unknown. Let the train take the strain and make a day out of it. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)
Sold Volvo XC90 R-Design (known as Basil)
Sold - D4 HSE (Known as Gerty)
No longer the Old Buses original owner
231,000 miles and counting
05 S manual owned from March 2005
D4 Face lifted
Still original injectors and turbo
V8 Front brakes
BAS Remap, Allisport Intercooler and deCat
EGRs blanked
T-Max split charge
Hanibal Expeedition rack
Prospeed ladder
Duratrac tyres
IID BT
BAS FBH control

I tend to take the train for my own cars but have to admit I was very lucky with the D3, it was 10 miles up the road and had been looked after by my friend at the local landrover specialist for the last 5 years. I always believe in trying to be over critical on condition to make sure people are happy if they make the journey.
Anyway back on topic for the op. Good luck with your search.

For years I've travelled all over for vehicles, and if I've learnt one thing it's that one persons idea of good condition can be completely different to someone else's. I've lost a lot of money and time over the years so this time I'm happy to wait unti something comes up that's a little closer to home. I really am in no rush, the money is in the bank and I have another vehicle. You'd think living in Gloucestershire there'd be loads for sale!

Also my brother was a professional car buyer for a well know website for a while and has bought a lot of Discovery's so he's always handy to bring along when buying a car and I can't really expect him to come with me on a 400 mile round trip for example as with breaks and the time doing the deal it'll easily be an all day affair and he only gets 3 days off work every 2 weeks.
In an ideal world I'd happily take someone's word for the condition if a vehicle, travel on the train on my own and drive it home but no matter how genuine people sound there's always the chance the vehicle won't be exactly as advertised when you get there.
