I have fitted WARN Spot lights to my expo roof rack , any ideas how I should wire them up as I believe that Disco3 runs CANBUS system and Land Rover want 500.00 GBP to wire them up. Can they just be wired up to the battery, the usual way? ie relays earth positive??????

You have a very nice man living near you. 10forCash on here or TFC. Look him up and, or, do a search. "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

4 Pin relay under the bonnet, switched from main beam, feed goes direct to battery via a fuse, run cables up the external windscreen pillar trim.
PM me if you want more info 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

When I did mine I didn't take pics sorry but to give you a flavour I did the following.
1. Fit a 4-pin fused relay into the second battery compartment under the bonnet
2. Run a 30A live feed from the battery to the relay (via fuse)
2. Pick up main beam from the headlight to switch the relay
3. Run the negative switch feed of the relay inside the car via a grommet and wire in a rocker switch so the lights can be isolated (legal requirement)
4. Run the switched live feed from the relay to the expo rack up the external windscreen pillar trim (comes off easily on clips) and up the front leg of the expo rack (virtually invisible once trims re-fitted)
5. Wire all 4 rack spots in parallel with decent 30A cable
Hope that makes sense 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I've mine switched from a remote control via relay switched from the sidelights.Remote fob is velcro'd onto the dash.
Cons: If you require them when driving you have to press the remote as they wont come on automatically when the main beams are engaged.
Pros : You can have just the sidelights , dips or mainbeams on and turn on the rack lights on either.Plus I can take the remote control out if working in front of the vehicle and switch them on as I need.
Probably illegal but I couldn't give a rats .

These remote controls are pretty handy, only thing that puts me off is that you don't know if they are on or off and could be accidentally on while driving on the main roads etc. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

And the "D" in LED stands for...... I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
