Warning lamp

Can anybody tell me what the red lamp denotes on the dash to the left of the hdc lamp. it looks like a heated car symbol. The hand book states red lights are warnings but it doesn't tell me what it's for. It only comes on with initial key turn but I hate not knowing.

Its a system check light for the Fuel Burning Heater.

It also comes on yellow if you set the pre heat timer too... but that does not work and PLEASE don't ask why or if it ever will Wink Do a search and there are many hundreds of post and threads about it.

But... its normal so don't worry about it.

cheers

I think you must be talking about the suspension failiure light, car with arrow through the middle and arrows going left and right above the car.

Simon is right, just remember, if it ever comes on except when you switch the car on, be worried, very worried, and run as fast as you can in the other direction. Wink

Thanks for the info guys, this heater just seems like a box of junk to cart about that robs you of precious fuel. Would the heater take that much longer to warm the vehicle without it?

You will be surprised how good the webasto is. If your fuel warning lamp is on when you start up on a cold morning, the webasto is inhibited to save fuel. It just does not warm up at all. It needs a good high speed run to warm up thoroughly without it.
