Water In Fuel Message
Hi
Am getting "water in fuel" message all the time now !
Dealer said that there is a drain plug of some sort up near the gearbox to drain the water out ??
said its easy to do yourself
anyone done this or got any info ? would be great

If you remove the gearbox undertray, you'll see the fuel filer up a bit and to the right of the gearbox casing (under the driver's seat in the UK).
There's a small drain tap/valve at the bottom, but no idea what the correct procedure is although I believe it is very easy to do. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I got one of these showing yesterday, "Water In Fuel".
Phoned the dealers and to take it in on Tuesday, as it was only serviced 30 days ago and been using the same garage/fuel since before Xmas and never had it over the past 18 months of ownership.

I had the same message intermittently over the past couple of months. I mentioned it when the car went in for it's 45k service a couple of weeks ago and they changed the fuel filter body under warranty. There's been no message since.

Disco was in today for this. New sensor required, so back in again at the end of the week.ATB
