Webasto heater strange wires

Hi guys just a quick one on the heater
My webasto does not seem to start even if the outside temp is at 5c
So looking at it I can see some wires have been installed and stored into the original loom, the car is new to me ,
could anyone take a look and let me know what I have as regards these wires
Thanks in advance guys
Regards Baz

You need to get the Webasto diagnostics on it really, there is a diagnostic kit available in the site shop: https://www.disco4.com/shop/switch.php?r=%...kin=DISCO3

On the icarsoft diagnostics it shows the coolant temp at 28c and the external temp at 5c
Will the heater not work with the coolant temp at that temperature or us it solely reliant on the outside temperature.
Also the icarsoft can reset the trouble code on the heater and its is not showing any faults

It should kick in under those circumstances.

If you are lucky it could just be locked out due to low fuel.

If that doesn't sort it you need to do Webasto diagnostics on it.

Yep done that and nothing doing .
But no lockout on the diagnostics no faults at all unless it's a totally different diagnostics and stand alone for the heater only

The LR/generic/aftermarket diagnostics don't really give a lot of information on the FBH.

This allows you to see live data and it shows that the fbh is not fired.
I'm just looking to see if I can get to the outside temp sensor to place in the freezer to confirm it's an issue or not .
Struggling to see where it is though

Try removing the FBH fuse in the fuse box for a few minutes.

I thought it needed to be 4°C, but can't remember

Ok found it and force started the fbh all good
But now the bloddy instrument display is stuck on -1 but the sensor is reading correct on the diagnostics
Of 11.20
So is there a time issue for the clock on the instrument to reset or is there an issue I've caused

there is massive hysteresis on the dash temperature display.
Don't worry

Ok no worries thanks guys .
So while monitoring the live data the coolant was upto 82c and the clock on the dash was reading -1 so the heater is still running
Is it on a preset timer once it starts running or should it by rights cut off once it sees the coolant temp

Wires from Webasto FBH question

Sorry to drag an old topic back up but I am looking to remote my FBH and I saw the question was asked what are the two wires from the FBH - black and red that go nowhere but to a blanking connector?. Do they do anything can they be used for anything? Keen to understand as much as possible before I fit any remote.

Thanks
