Wedding blues
Just a quick post as I wait at the airport to go on honeymoon.
Well the day before my wedding my D3 packed up. Front end sat low and only back going up and down. Phoned Lr and they sent a recovery truck. Asked for a Hire car and after several hours of calls they eventually offer me a Range rover, superb I thought Only problem was it was back in york and I was in Scotland. After more calls I got offer a Yaris..not happy. Eventually got a Grand senic which I had a 60 mile round trip to collect.
I'm less than happy as the car was being used for loads of duties including carrying parents and inlaws at weddding and airport runs. It took 6hrs for hire car to appear, and I didn't know what it would be until picked up. It caused a lot of stress especially when I was 15mins late for the rehersal. I'm not happy with LR I told them why I needed a car so quickly and they didn't bother, nobody phoned me i had to call them all the time. I think i'll be hitting them for compensation when I get back, lots of things like airport parking and I had it proffesionally valeted that were a waste of time. no to mention the phone calls. Oh and how I get back to the dealers from the airport when i return if its ready in time to go home in.
Interseting point though: Compressor was running and error message was system overhaeting waiting to cool. apparently complete unherd of.
Have a fantastic time and don't worry about the car 'till you get back! Have a nice day!

I can't believe they say they have never heard of this message, raise your car up to offroad and down to access a few times and you'll soon see it.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

I had this fault on mine. Told my dealer the symptoms and he rolled his eyes and said "another compressor". 55 minutes later I had the car back with a new compressor and the software updated.Disco 5 HSE Lux

Getting this error message does not necessarily mean that there is a fault requiring drastic action ....if you tinker with the suspension height several times in succesion the compressor temerature will rise and if close to the threshhold then produce the message. Its a safety measure against potential damage I guess.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Good point - but mine did this for 36 hours straight, plus the front wouldn't raise. Should have added that, I suppose.... Disco 5 HSE Lux
