Welcome to the nut house ! Best advice would be to look in here for the for sale section for a car. Avoid dealers, one with a lot of history of repairs isn’t nessisarily a bad thing in my opinion, if it’s had things like a new compressor etc then that’s less you would have to do. Inevitably being a complex machine they are far from bomb proof. Good luck and hope you don’t get one like mine !!! Jarrod

Haha, thanks. Has yours been a bit of a dog I take it?
I've noticed dealer prices seem to be all over the shop, I know they hold onto their value well but some dealers are asking big money for older high milers, only really worth it if they're willing to throw a damn good warranty in.

Hi all
I'm new to the forum and new to Land Rover !
Picked up my new to me 2016 Disco 4 Landmark this week and love it.
The only option that I wanted I couldn't find already fitted so I have been looking through here to see how I can set up the remote FBH.
Cheers all.

Hi All, thinking of buying a D3 in Redditch
Hi All,
I want to get back in to off roading, I use to own a D2 (for road) then moved on a Jeep XJ.
I am now looking at buying a 2006 Disco 3 HSE, it already has had some mods:
Discreet winch mount with Terrafirma winch with synthetic rope
Raised air intake
Aluminium steering guard
Terrafirma Rock/Tree sliders
Plus a spare set of 17" wheels with Cooper STT Pro Mud terrain tyres
The car is located in Redditch, I am thinking about viewing it in the week and wondering if anyone with D3 experience is in the area would be willing to accompany?
Cheers,
Matt

Hello Martin,
I have a D2 which I have had for about 6 years, I have just bought a D3 which has suffered from timing belt failure, I am going to rebuild the engine without removing the body, I am a young 85 years of age and have always worked on vehicles as a hobby. One question is the engine was already partly stripped, the camshaft bearing caps are numbered should there be numbers on the head to match or is there a set pattern for them.
I have read quite a lot on the site and it is extremely good

Good afternoon,
Picked up my D3 yesterday morning having owned numerous French 7 seater turds. I am really enjoying driving the car but it has some minor issues mainly with the interior handles and lighting but I'm sure it can be fixed.Black disco3 XS

Hi new Member with discovery 3 metropolis
Just thought I’d say Hi, joined some time ago for browsing and now own a 2006 discovery 3 metropolis. Having owened a RR p38 I’m Accustomer to electronic over technical breakdowns. My babtism to the D3 was the Parking brake failure, and suspension bushes that now need doing. Otherwise loving it.

Hello
Good Afternoon
I have just got a Disco3 2005 HSE 2.7 TDV6, i enjoy taking out a caravan and was looking for a bigger car to do this with.
So far only had 1 issue with the car an that is a leaking coolant from the rear heater unit I am hoping this is now resolved by changing the two rubber hoses but time with tell
looking forward to towing with the car

High millage
Heya guys and girls! I'm.new to this forum and taken me a while to find one so I hope this is as good as it looks. Basically i have just brought a 2010 disco 4 hse. It has 280k miles on it however it's only had 1 owner and been had all services and work done it it when it should have. Should I be worried about this high millage on a car like this? Thanks in advance!

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum and the joy that is Disco ownership
Mileage is not an issue on these cars IF they have been looked after and pampered and spoilt when they should have been. As you say your's has had all services and work done on schedule then she should run for years.
That is not to say that she won't throw a hissy fit and break down tomorrow Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH
