Hi folks,
Ave just bought my first D3....had a Defender but it was sold 5 years ago upon the first baby being due...only the second child now and the wife wanted a bigger car, and to my astonishment said we could have a D3!
So here I am, a landy in the family again. Already finding the forums helpful with some common issues such as corroded tailgate switch.
Cheers for now

Just joined after finding the forum during a “ limited performance” search. Looks like a great forum and I can’t wait to learn from you all.
Any pointers?

Hello
Thought I'd say hello.
Just picked up a 2009 TDV6 HSE auto.
This replaces our 2004 disco2 which has worked hard for us.
Just coming to terms with the leap in technology - particularly electronics & engine management etc.

Longjohn_85 wrote:Hello all, bought my first Disco a few months back and straight away had issues that made me want to sell up. (going into limp mode and clunk from transfer box) Think I have got to the bottom of the issues now after a garage trying to fix the jeep but making it worse so did the work myself.
Mine is a 2004 D3 HSE with 197000 miles now that she is running right she is a great jeep and the kids love it so she can stay, for now.
Hope to help out where I can with others and I know ill be using this site to keep the Disco on the road.
Having a similar experience re 'issues' - what were yours?

Very good afternoon all
Good to see there is a disco 3 site. Coming from a discovery 1 and 2 this 3 is great.
I have a 2009 d3 2.7 v6 XS and I love the thing, I need to do a few jobs on it so look out lol as I will be asking a hell of a lot of questions lol
Again many thanks
Shaun

Hi All
I’m a long time fan of the oval badge and for my sins have owned defenders for years. We farm in North Cornwall but have always had a family runabout in the form of a Discovery . Having been priced out of the market with the disco 5 we have decided to hold onto our Disco 4 beyond its warranty period , which appears to have been a mistake !
The Defender2 forum has been invaluable for advice and entertainment, I’m sure this forum is much the same so look forward to being a part of it .
I’ll be kicking off straight away with some problems I’m experiencing !!

I live in Poynton, Cheshire which has been in the news over the past two days because of the floods in our area. My neighbour recently changed his Volvo estate for a D3 and I was somewhat envious of the ease with which he navigated the flooded roads that were impassable to many others. I have thought about a D3 or D4 before but now would like to consider one more seriously. So I thought it would be a good idea to join the forum to get to know more about them.

Hi All
I'm Will, just joining after a recent few probs with our 2012 Disco 4 HSE SDV6, with 75k miles. Had it for over 5 years now and it's been brilliant and very reliable.. but have now had the cracked inlet manifold issue.. we also have a 2010 Freelander 2 which just keeps plodding on day after day..
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi all, thanks for having me. New member after inheriting my father’s Disco 3 after he passed away. It’s a beautiful vehicle & we’re keeping it in the family. I have found some brand new after market upgrades in his garage that I hope I can put here to sell on. I dont think we’ll need them.
