Hello
Hi everyone,
I've been lurking around here for a while, absorbing all the excellent information available. I have been thinking about getting a D4 and am now 99% decided that I will in the near future, when I see the right one come on the market. I have a few questions before I buy, so will post in the relevant forums as and when.
Cheers.

XY Sensor Calibration
My first post. New to LR3 and looking to solve a number of issues with my Vehicle including XY Sensor calibration issue and on 193,000 miles, wondering about options for Gearbox reconditioning.

Hi All,
Thought I'd say hello and ask for some help finding a suitable cb antenna mount. Being a newbie, I'm struggling to contact RLD - Uncle Ray as it seems he's the man for these! Could someone help put me in touch please?
Cheers
Paul

Hi all,
I currently own a Freelander, but want to buy a Discovery 3 or 4.
I've earlier owned a 1991-mod Discovery, that I had for 10 years.
Looking forward to read and hopefully contribute to this great forum!

Hi, I’m new to this forum. Where can I get a front end upgrade lights, bumper and grill for my disco 3 to 4 spec and what would it cost. Any ideas appreciated. Ken.

Tdv6 or Sdv6
Hi all,
I currently have a Disco 2 td5 gs which I have had for 5 years now.
I am going to upgrade to the Disco 4 but not sure which one to get.
I want the HSE with all the toys and will use this for work in my plumbing and heating business.
I don’t know whether to get a high mileage sdv6 with th 8 speed box or a low mileage tdv6 with the 6 speed.
I’ve heard rumours about the engines having crank problems but not sure on which engine.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
It has taken little persuasion of financial control but I am now the proud owner of an '06 LR3 2.7 auto HSE
There are a few niggles I need to sort out (PDC, headlight washers etc) but on the whole it seems pretty tidy for the year.
I only picked her up on Saturday and have been busy all week so this is my first chance to peruse tinternet looking for help.
I'll be be searching for guides and advice and probably asking some silly questions along the way too so please be gentle. You never know, I might even be able to help someone else one day?
Anyway, cheers for now
Russ

Hello from Arizona
Hello All,
I have just become an owner of a 2005 LR3 SE V8 5 Seat, navigation, voice control, black interior, with just under 70k miles. Coil spring conversion already completed, oversized tires, and front runner roof rack. Exterior and interior are in almost perfect condition.
Loving the vehicle so far, quite an upgrade over my old D2 in many ways. Looking at utilizing this site to help with maintenance, and some small modifications here and there.
Thanks,
James

Hi!
So jumped in and bought a high mileage D3 just before xmas. So far I'm down £1200 after replacing the wishbones front and back plus track rod ends and a further (Click Mechanic) £132 for 4 wheel tracking (Veetech in Croydon). And now the D is juddering under load.
Could have bought a money pit, but as it was SWMBO's choice, love peace and harmony prevail.2007 D3 2.7 150k

Hi from Warwickshire
Have been on the forum for a couple of weeks but not yet introduced myself - an omission I'm about to put right.
I picked up my 2012 spec 8 speed D4 HSE a few days into the new year having had a FL2 HSE that had served me faithfully years and 146k miles without any breakdown and only failure of the air-con compressor.
My D4 has 83k miles, and, like my FL2 had LR UK as the first owner on the V5. The FL2 I bought directly from LRs own internal dealer website unseen. The D4 however has had one owner after LR had it.
I knew the car was an early production vehicle for the 2012 spec as it's a 11 reg car and a common prefix the LR often use. The LR Indy I bought it from said he couldn't align the registration with the model etc. I discovered shortly after I got it home - and I'm not sure whether to be entirely happy or not!
My car has appeared in photos on car reviews including a video on Honest John doing some mud-plugging. It had clearly been on a working farm for the last years being very dusty in the more inaccessible areas but no sign of serious hard work or abuse or damage.
No major issues to date, but battery changed after a couple of weeks after it died. Spare wheel protector added too. Did hear a very slight knock on braking that I hadn't got on the test drive, but my Indy tells me its only just minor wear at the moment. He gave it a good look over for me and reports no other problems.
The tow hook (which looks only lightly used) is, as is common, firmly fixed in - a few doses of WD40 haven't shifted the lock yet - hopefully warmer weather will help. A slight pull to the left too, but a 4 wheel tracking when I replace the tyres in a couple of months should sort that.
It's a fabulous car to drive and loving it, but, during the summer months it'll be playing second fiddle to my BMW Z4 E85.
These images are from one of the reviews.

Aren’t those separate vehicles since one plate ends XGB and the other XES?
In any case, welcome!

Hi there!
I'm Peter, from Spain. I have a D3 2.7 TDV6 MY6 for ten years that has given me a lot of satisfactions as well as some problems, of course .
I've known you for a long time, but until now I had not participated in the forum. Here in Spain we call you "The Bible of the Discovery".
Regards,
Peter
