Welcome Home Modifications - Ebay Driving Lights OEM
Well today to gain the PERMAGRIN again, and the vain hope the feeling of "What will go wrong next" might disappear, I decided not to wait till I arrange TFC's magic touch of fitting n wiring.
So I fitted them myself, and the D3 is looking mighty fine.
All I need now is the Wiring to be done, and I remembered to Silicone the joints and wire access. I know it wont keep ALL the moisture out, but it will help a little - I HOPE

The only way I stopped moisture getting into the LR lamps was to remove the bead of glue that holds the glass into the plastic, and re-assemble using a decent silicone on all the mating surfaces. They leak because the manufacturer assembles the glass and reflector into the plastic housing, and then pours the glue around the edge to hold it all together. But there's no seal as such to prevent water getting in around the edge of the glass. Problem is, the glue stuff that they use is really hard to remove - I ended up pulling it out with pliers! No moisture problems any more though Previously:

even more moisture / water can get in through the hole where the bulb fits

if you want light that are waterrpoof, then look at the LFs. I found the LR light very poor and didnt add anything to improve visibility.
But if they are just for show, then they do the job Duncan

I got most of that mud out when it was in bits
Surprisingly there was no mud or water in them after the last Salisbury trip, even after this little dip:

Just have to be quick in and out
Agreed - with Xenon headlamps the LR spots are purely cosmetic.Previously:

theres no mud in yours cos i "modified" it
if you drill a hole in the bottom of the reflector it'll let the water mud drain out Duncan
