Weird wheel discolouration

Any thoughts? Long drive today in pretty awful weather, rear wheels fine but both fronts look a bit weird.

Pad depth looks OK outside on both fronts, no low pad warning.

No off-roading or anything like that, just good old tarmac. Me puzzled!! Confused

Looks like a combination of Brake dust, & other rubbish to me. Mine go a similar brown/ rust colour this weather.

Salt and dirt from the road? Mine tend to go that colour. Little bit of purple rain and they come up good as new Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Hopefully they'll clean it off at the service. In May.

Unless it goes to DM for servicing. Then it'll stay grubby. Thumbs Up

Just need some wonder wheels on it. Brake residue from the pads that’s all.

Go to a Shell here and get a “Perfect Tornado” wash before you re-enter civilization Thumbs Up The wheels on mine look brand new after it and so does the car itself Smile

Where I finish driving through Finland is far, far from "civilisation". If I stick to plan, will be coming back in from N Norway north of Hetta and into Sweden at Kolari. Will see what I can find in Sweden. Or just return home with it dirt road grubby and eventually wash it. Whistle Whistle
