Well that turned out to more difficult and expensive than ex
Passenger front window has never worked, and I wasnt that bothered. But it was becoming a bit of a pain on our very regular trips to France. Then the door stopped locking and unlocking, so I needed to remove the regulator anyway.
i used the "easier" method of removing the glass. I removed outer window trim and inner, then door card etc etc. as per the guide on here.
First problem was getting the outer door handle off, which I broke so ordered a new one.
Then removing the regulator was easier than expected, as ALL the clips were broken-the two screwed onto the bottom of the glass and the 2 on the regulator. All the wores were dangling in the door!
This is what greeted me when the regulator was removed:
What the hell is that about? A plank of wood on the inside edge. I assume to keep the knackered window in the up position. Why not just replace it if you have gone to all the trouble of removing everything?
So now I had to use a new glass as well!
Anyway, long story short, its done, but took 4 days lol.
I cant thank the gents on here enough for the help-I would have been able to do it without you
