What's Cooper STT tyre life on road? |
|
After last weekend's Peak District outing I'm still trundling around on my offroad set of Cooper STTs. It's mainly local stuff - A and B roads.
I was tempted to keep them on over the winter.
I'm not bothered by the noise/handling compromises but I wonder if I'm going to wear them out prematurely by driving them on road.
If a normal road tyre would last say 10,000 to 20,000 on road, how long would an offroad tyre like an STT last?
regards

probably about the same, just remember that 'usable' tread offroad needs to be deeper than onroad
You can also wear the tread disproportionately offroad too
