Had a business meeting this lunch time so met colleague at local coffee shop. Usual warning signs to wear mask and use provided sanitiser, etc. Unless you don't give a obviously as about 30% didn't bother with either.
I know they say not for the business to enforce but if they were told they couldn't serve customers without a mask on I'm sure situations would improve the percentage take up......
So I'm in the queue and guy comes in, no mask, no sanitiser, touches virtually every sandwich in the chiller unit taking them off the shelf, reading then putting them back (and then has a cake anyway, daft )
Then stands hovering on my shoulder. I turn round and ask him if he wouldn't mind standing back, especially as he isn't wearing a mask (and no, I'm not paranoid about the health risk as such, just off people can't follow simple/basic rule, can only help matters....).
Then notice he has his NHS lanyard round his neck with his "Dr xxxxxx" name on it..... What a
Or maybe he knows better?? Think he is probably more qualified.....

I agree 100%. Why can't they shut them quietly? It's even worse when they get out in the middle of the night. First you hear the door open, then close, & a short while later it's repeated. They should be parked on a seperate area all to themselves.never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly

Radar cruise that bongs 'dirt in sensor' all the time on the M6......
On my frequent trips up and down to Liverpool on the M6 roadworks I set the cruise on 55mph and auto-distance control and use the single lane bit so can just sit there and relax and, literally, go with the flow.
However I cannot think of a single time that part-way along the stretch the big red triangle and warning bong comes on saying 'take control of vehicle, cruise control cancelled' or such-like and then the amber 'dirt in sensor' for next ten minutes/miles.
Happened on all my RRS's, SWMBO's Evoques and now the Disco' Sport I have temporarily
I don't blame the cars as this only happens on the M6 stretch and must be being blown up I imagine in the area from all the road works.
Learnt something new today; apparently the above phenomenon is the radar cruise doing what it is designed to do. On the roadworks section if you go in the single lane option the car senses the solid concrete barriers as a potential crash risk. After a few minutes/miles it thinks " that for a game of soldiers" as it isn't changing parameters so shuts down the radar control for the driver to take over.
I never linked the issue to the solid concrete barriers

Why would a driver do that? Is there some kind of incentive to drive twice to the destination and mark not-at-home on the first try?

Now updated that it may come by Tuesday. If it doesn’t I can cancel and get a refund. Coincidence that the price is now 25% higher than Saturday
It could have been that the driver was ten minutes early and didn't fancy waiting there like a lemon until his 'phone gave him permission to deliver it.

Either not on van or damaged outer to the extent driver assumed contents damaged, I'd guess..

I've had a delivery driver turn up, sit in the van for 10 min, then deliver my package.
When quizzed, he said he was too early for his delivery slot so had to wait until then.🏴
