Where's the fuel filter?
Just been trawling through the posts relating to ESF shut downs and was wondering if my problems were that the fuel filter has not been changed. It was supposed to have been done last Nov trying to fix this, having been changed in Aug as part of service.
Can we see the fuel filter from under the car or in the engine bay or is it under some shield or other? Thought it was under the front RHS wheel arch but can't see anything. Check will be primitive, if it looks clean & shiny then it's been changed, if it's rusty & looks like it's been there for years then it hasn't been changed. Just got to find it first!

It's under cover. If you put it in off road height you should be able to see it looking through the o/s/f wheel arch with a torch

Only get underneath if your going to drop the cover otherwise you won't see a lot. If you look through the arch you will see the top of the filter with pipes

make sure you drain the water out of the trap thats in there as well whilst changing it, as this has caused me a problem in the past (on the 07 model it gives you a message on the dash but the LRA guy said it didnt on earlier ones!)Must stop buying shiny toys....

Got it booked in with Guava in couple of weeks for MOT so they are going to change it then. to you all for mocking my mechanical skills, but you are so correct. My skills lie elsewhere.
